Atacama Audio

The latest design from Atacama, the Europa Reference 8 and Reference 8 SE Black, embodies both lifestyle appeal, whilst still offering features that any audiophile would demand from a dedicated audio/AV rack.
The Europa Reference 8 series is a modular design taking the concept used in Equinox one step further. The glass shelves are manufactured from clear 10mm thick glass toughened to British Standards 6206A. The vertical columns are made from solid and tubular aerospace grade aluminium which is fastened to the glass shelves using Ultraviolet Bonding technology. Isolation is achieved by polished aluminium cones that are fitted on the end of each of the vertical columns. Each shelf module then simply stacks onto the shelf below, creating the rack you require.

The Europa Reference 8 is a mid size equipment rack for both audio and the latest flat panel televisions. The base shelf is supplied with polished aluminium feet and heavy duty isolation spikes are supplied as standard. Vertical columns are supplied in a silver anodised finish and are available in three heights.

New for 2007 a Europa 8 SE black is now available. This has improved high tensile stainless steel boss’s which both improve rigidity and, due to the higher density of this material, have improved acoustic properties. This version comes with piano black glass and black anodised columns as standard.
