Atacama Evoque Eco 65-60 SE2 Series
Building on a multi-award-winning lineage (What Hi-Fi? "Best Equipment Rack" winner 2019–2024 for the 60-40 edition), the Evoque Eco 65-60 SE2 Series scales up high-end acoustic engineering for larger, heavier flagship components. Offering an expansive 65cm width and 60cm depth, this specialized rack introduces advanced mechanical grounding and resonance deflection to handle up to a 50% increase in weight capacity per module over standard variants.
Proudly hand-built in the UK using locally, the SE2 represents the pinnacle of Atacama's rack technology.

Series Features & Technologies
1. High-Density Carbonized Bamboo Shelving
Acoustically superior to traditional hardwoods and veneers, high-density carbonized bamboo utilizes a unique micro-growth pore structure that naturally absorbs vibration and controls resonance. Layering density and thickness are precision-engineered for optimal sonic delivery.
2. A.S.I.S.T. Dampening Gaskets
Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology integrates dual dampening gaskets within each leg assembly to eradicate "ringing" and decouple the aluminium outer collars from the core structure.
3. Resonance-Conducting Caps
Solid aluminium top and lower caps act as high-velocity energy conductors, providing a direct escape route to channel harmful mechanical energy away from your audio gear and down toward the floor.
4. Mechanically Tuned Leg Geometries
Leg lengths are precision-calibrated (20mm taller than standard Evoque equivalents) to intentionally lower the resonant frequency of each tier. The SE2 variant further optimizes this with heights tuned 5mm above the standard SE range.
5. Leg Tuning Counterweights
Optional, fully adjustable nickel-plated bronze frustum counterweights can be added to internal leg studs, allowing you to fine-tune the module's resonant frequency to match specific components.
6. A.V.R.D.C. Advanced Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels
The underside of each bamboo shelf features a sophisticated 3D geometric multi-curve "V" pattern. This redirects vertical high-frequency harmonic energy into a horizontal axis toward the legs, preventing acoustic feedback.
7. Advanced Stainless Steel Isolation Spikes
Engineered for ultimate Mechanical Grounding, the heavy-duty stainless steel spikes feature an open interface geometry that completely avoids energy constriction, allowing rapid dissipation into the floor while maximizing load stability to 45kg per level.
8. Side-Edge Contoured Bamboo Panels
Contoured side profiling actively breaks up standing waves and eliminates phase-related constructive interference, redirecting stray energy straight into the underlying A.V.R.D.C. deflection channels.
Important Purchasing & Assembly Guide
-
Wood Finishes & Colour Variance: Bamboo is a dynamic natural material. Studio lighting and screen calibrations mean finishes cannot be colour-matched digitally to existing home furnishings. As a general guide under home lighting:
-
Natural Finish: A warm, buttery appearance.
-
Dark Finish: A rich dark chocolate tone.
-
Expect natural grain, batch shading, and color variations even within these descriptions.
-
-
Height Limitations: Any combination of modules can be assembled, provided the total stack height does not exceed 1255mm (50 inches).
-
Weight Distribution: The 45kg per level limit can be increased by an additional 10kg on the base module, provided that extra weight is subtracted from the capacity of the shelf module immediately above it.
